Fantastic addition to the GTA franchise. My favorite GTA is still Vice City but with this version, they allow you to skip the boring and useless parts...like driving from one side of the map to the other for 15 minutes. I know that doesnt sound like much but you spend more time playing the missions and less time driving to them.

I got this for my birthday off my uncle! Heres my game summary
GTA 3
Plot:You've been betrayed and left for dead. Now you're taking revenge, unless the city gets you first. Mob bosses need a favor, crooked cops need help, and street gangs want you dead. You'll have to rob, steal, and kill just to stay out of serious trouble. Anything can happen out here.
Verdict: Fun but not as good as GTA Vice City which I play more but I play this when a mission gets boring on Vice City so its percentage is 83%! I normally just mess about on this one.

Plot:Our "hero" is Tommy Vercetti (voiced by Ray Liotta), a gangster just out from a long stint in lockdown. Working for the Forelli family, Tommy is involved in a shady business deal that goes horribly wrong. So begins his quest to regain money, power, and respect in Vice City.
Verdict: Awfully fun! I feel sorry for my mate who bought Vice city and it broke after just 2 days! He had to take it back! I love this and motorbikes are fun and I love hitting people with my Baseball Bat outside of missions. Basic compared to San Andreas (I dont have it but I borrowed it off my mate)but fun! the hammer I also love using! It also takes my parents back to the 80s! the percentage is 98%
I have something to say before my conclusion! This game aint as violent as everyone says and heres why:
1. Language is only words like s**t and a**
2. The violence is strong yes but its more cartoony than realistic
3. Sex is in it but its only a car rocking
4. Nudity is included but it's only semi nudity no worse than what is on a beach on a hot day.
So parents I'm 12 and my verdict for you is if you're child is sensible, doing well in school and not violent let them have it but if they r not sensible, doing rubbish in school and violent say no so if they r sensible let them play it!
Conclusion: Great and 2 great games for a good price and you wont have to buy another game for a while because it will take a while to finish the 2! Buy now and San Andreas as well! Peace out people!

Ballad of Gay Tony seems to have higher res textures and character models

Sound. Not much diff. from GTAIV, but bigger and enhanced soundtrakcs are a plus

Gameplay
MUCH BETTER
The bikes handle really well in LATD, in fact I rarely drove cars at all. Minigames like gang wars and bike races, pool, cards and arm wrestling are fun too. The campaign is top notch, like Hell Ride meets Sons Of Anarchy.

BOGT is awsome as well, its adds in all the rediculous over the top missions that were the standard fare in GTA3, Vice City and San Andreas
Like, base jumping, attack helicopters, satchel charges, automatic shotguns, armored cars and more!

It goes without saying that Metal Slug XX is by far one of the best entries in the series and for fans a must have game.

Metal Slug XX is more or less a retooling of Metal Slug 7 which saw release on the DS a while back. Though the obvious difference in screen size and graphical power of the PSP make this the version to get. The PSP release removes many of the negative aspects of Metal Slug 7. For example the PSP game supports two player wifi which was sorely missed in the DS release. The first thing you will notice is how great this game looks now, the sprites(chearcters) are easily visiable on the PSP's screen and unlike the DS version the enviroments and enemies are easy to see and do not feature the DS's heavily pixleated background art. This game is a bit on th short side but like all the Metal Slugs the value is in the combat academy and replaying the game trying to save all the different soldiers in the game. Overall I can't recommend this enough, if you like old school 2D shooters then this will be exactly what your looking for.

this is by far the best game i have ever played. This game is a must buy!!!in this game there is so much to to do. the city is so big and u can do just about everything u can do in a real city. this game is GTA 3 with everything improved. if u thought that nothing could beat GTA 3 then u were wrong. They have come out with the perfect sequel, with more weapons, more cars and a bigger location than the # 3. They have improved on the graphics so everything looks realistic. Although very violent this game is a must have. so if u have a PS2 then i highly recoomend this game. In this game there are fun missions and u can buy property. You can even buy your ow mansion. You can fly helicopters and 1 of them even has a gun on it. this game is really fun so go out and buy it. its is worth all the money u spend on it! If u rarely buy games and u have enough money to buy one then get this one it is a blast and u wont be able to put it down and u wont get bored so it wil last u forever. Have fun!!!!

This is one of the greatest games I have ever played,

At first I was a little disappointed in how the direction the game throws you at first! It sort of intimidates that this game is gonna be finished in a week and Vice City is not even as big as Liberty City. I was wrong about both and I remember now that this game does have twice more than grand theft auto 3 and that Vice City is huge with endless activities to complete a game percentage or just for kicks! Anyways I'm sure you heard of it and if you haven't played this yet than you are missing out in a pure classic of video games! Just wait till San Andreas : GTA 4 comes out!

My review is VERY late since its release, but I must give this a 5 as an overall review. I do keep in mind that this game had the 'coffee' bit in it for some rather fake "skin-flick" action, but who cares? The game was rated "M" in the first place, and any 16 year-old who hasn't seen skin REALLY hasn't gotten out of the house much. On second note any 16+ kid who can't differentiate between violence/profanity/etc. on a game and their real life either have not had the necessary guidance from their parents or they need some professional help as the dillusional world they perceive is definitely a problem.

As for the game's stature, I find the series to be quite a large step in the series; becoming quite a legendary interactive step up since the "bird's eye view" GTAs of yester-year. There are so many things to interact with in the game from the vast varieties of vehicles to the aircraft, the people, the controls (local police, "Feds," National Guard), to boats, missions, and mini-games. I find it hard to decide if I take a drive today, finish missions, toy with the game's physics, or the occasional cheat to flush out frustration at the end of a long day. I give two thumbs up to this series since GTA III as it offers so much to the player and between its physics, variety, graphics, and replay value, it--as well as the rest of the recent editions--has merit for a true PS classic!

I really have only minor complaints for the game; the graphics being limited on portrayal of distant objects...merely masked by fog, humidity, or the like. Most of this is covered well by adjustment of the screen and the weather/environmental setting, but is limited majorly by the PS2's video processing and/or overall processing speed. Maybe it's attributable to the graphics engine, but for what it is I would HIGHLY recommend everything from GTA III up, especially since there exists the triple-pack! Go for the gusto!

I think of myself as a hardcore gamer, so I think I would know if this game was fun. From the many accesories you use to make your character unique, to the casinos and horse races, to the wide accesible area that always leaves you wondering what else is out there, this game is great. The missions range from easy to downright insane. Plus, all the new cars and weaponry this is the best Grand Theft Auto to date. But, the rating of this game is there for a reason. I do not suggest you get this for your nephew or niece. But, I say someone about 15 could handle it.
Just think of all the areas you can access and the new things you can install on your ride. Personally, I fancy the GoKart and the racing bike. You may favor the land and water vehicle. Whatever ride you are into it's in this game.

I mean seriously they are violent but not realistic, and parents, who cares?I have two kids(13, and 6) they both love GTA, and they are not bad kids , they do well in school, and they arent violent. This is definitly the funnest and most exciting game ever made. Do whatever you want. If you want to walk around the city and shot people with shotguns, and maybe throw a few grenades here and there at cars, you do just that. Bewarned, the more desturction caused, the more your wanted by authorites. Or, take another approach towards the city and do mission after missions for different gangs such as the yakazu, and mafia. This is the best game ever!!!!
